The Intelligence Community's First OSINT Strategy
From the OSINT Foundation Archive, the Intelligence Community's first OSINT strategy was published in April of 2006 by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. The document articulated five goals: making OSINT the source of first resort - the enabler and precursor for clandestine and technical collection; establishing a guild of OSINT experts - enabling the imbedding of OSINT in the work of all disciplines; global input - ensuring the broadest range of information is available to all consumers; single architecture - information acquired once and shared with all; OSINT innovation - capitalizing on emerging opportunities to drive innovation in tradecraft, analysis, and technology.
