About the OSINT Foundation Award For Excellence
ABOUT THE OSINT FOUNDATION AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE - The OSINT Foundation’s Latin motto, Primum Cognoscimus, means We Know, First Of All. Green was selected to signify openness and the constant renewal of the OSINT discipline. The logo is a highly stylized bald eagle, the national bird of the United States of America, which connotes vigilance and support to our nation’s security. Finally, the inscription ends with the text “The eyes and ears of America.” The inscription highlights the ever-changing nature of the open-source intelligence discipline. Plain text represents observation. The Morse code spells “The eyes,” and represents broadcast medium. The binary sequences represent the advent of the computer age, and spell “and ears.” ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange), the most common character encoding format on the Internet, represents the networked nature of modern OSINT, and spells “of America.”
