Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Central Intelligence Agency release OSINT Strategy for 2024-2026

The OSINT Foundation congratulates the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Intelligence Community for the cogent IC OSINT Strategy just released. It is a needed first step toward strengthening the IC open-source intelligence enterprise, consistent with each organization's missions and authorities. We recommend that as the implementation framework is developed, the use of OSINT in the domestic members of the IC be incorporated into the overall enterprise strategy. Additionally, we affirm the strategic goal of ensuring all members of the IC have access to IC-acquired open-source data – necessitating a new approach beyond the current solution, which requires access to the highest-level systems. The DNI is to be commended for establishing the IC OSINT Executive position to provide oversight and drive alignment across the IC’s OSINT activities.
